Through encouragement from Charter Hall of Fame Member Jeniece Kasey, she went from a 3-step to a 4-step approach and from a reverse ball to a hook. Her husband worked with her and taught her one summer in their garage! In addition to Evie's bowling accomplishments and services:
- Her highest average was 172, which she carried for several years.
- She believes her highest game is a 253
- Evie became a 600 club member in 1960-61 when she bowled her first ever 600 (601) in the City Tournament
- She participated in at least three national tournaments and approximately 25 state tournaments.
- Also, Evie was a league secretary for at least two years on a Monday Nite League.
