- Katie was dedicated to promoting youth bowling at Play Bowl Lanes
- In 1971, she organized the Peanuts League and worked hard to promote bowling for these youngsters.
- She worked over 20 years as an instructor for youth bowlers at Play Bowl Lanes.
- She bowled for over 30 years with her highest series of 642 (161-254-227) in the Midwest Mixed Classic tournament in April 1965.
- Katie also bowled her best game of 256 as the KWBA highest game in 1963.
- She placed with Daisy Strange in City Doubles.
- Also, she placed in Singles of the New Year's Tourney in 1964.
She was a major loss to the youth bowlers of Kokomo.
